Danish introduction for international professionals
- A course in which we focus on the Danish mentality and what to do about it.
In recognition of the fact that quite too many expats have problems with getting into the Danish society I have developed this course in order to set focus on the issue and give some advice and guidelines on what to do. It is of great significance that the course is formed as a course in which the participants take active part in the exercises, discussions, as well as the sharing of experiences and knowledge.
• Danishness - Why are we like we are? And what can an international professional do to have the richest experience possible and really appreciate Denmark in this unique life opportunity?
o A short historic outline
o Other cultural aspects
o Janteloven and what to do about it.
o Work shop questions.
• How can you interact as a foreigner with the Danes?
o The point between trying to oblige the Danish culture and yet still remain yourself.
• Danish unspoken rules
• A few language actions/idioms
• A few grammar tricks.
• Exchange of experiences.
